Our brave veterans shed blood, sweat, and tears to defend our country and protect us.  They make tremendous sacrifices that often goes unrecognized and underappreciated.

Facing unimaginable challenges of enduring grueling physical and mental training to surviving dangerous combat situations.  They spend long periods away from their family, friends, loved ones, and communities.  Missing birthdays, holidays, and other important events.

They sacrifice their physical and mental health, enduring injuries, illnesses, and trauma that can last a lifetime.  Often times giving up their dreams and aspirations to serve a cause greater than themselves.

Yet despite all of this, many of our veterans return home to face new challenges of struggling to find a job, secure affordable housing, receive healthcare, mental health care, and the support they need to heal from their physical and mental wounds.

 We can do better to recognize our veterans by going to battle for them as they did for us.  Ensuring they receive the care and support they deserve to live fulfilling and successful lives!  To be in service to them is the least we can do for all they have done to be in service for us and our country.

Let us never forget or take for granted the sacrifices our veterans make for us and our country.  They are true heroes who deserve our utmost respect and gratitude.
